What are the risk factors and causes for teenage suicide?

Answer:
Someone is regarded as an immediate suicide risk if he or she is currently:
  • Experiencing severely depressed mood
  • Hallucinating commands to commit suicide
  • Hopeless and pessimistic
  • Self-blaming and guilty
  • Expressing intent to harm him or herself
A person is also regarded as an immediate suicide risk after a suicidal act if this entailed:
  • Careful preparation of the act
  • Precautions to avoid interruption or rescue
  • A suicide note and an "ordering" of personal affairs
  • The expectation of the method being fatal
  • Remorse at the failure of the act
