We are searching for translators, who are willing to translate the Web4Health web site to new languages, or complete the translation for those languages, into which the site is not yet fully translated. Web4Health is at present available fully or partly in the following languages:
Language | Percent translated |
---|---|
German | 65 % |
English | 95 % |
Greek | 20 % |
Italian | 30 % |
Polish | 15 % |
Russian | 25 % |
Swedish | 95 % |
Finnish | 15 % |
The work required for translating all of Web4Health to a new language is about one person-year. You can also translate only the most important pages, since people searching for a non-translated page will then be shown this page in English.
We have no funding to pay for the work of translating Web4Health to new languages. We might pay you by including an ad for you on our pages, if you so want. The rather small income from advertisements is used for running the servers. So you will have to find national funding to fund your work on translating the web site, but we can run the service in your language on our existing Web4Health server. The only equipment you need is a computer with a web browser and an internet connection.
The translation work should be done by a psychologist, psychotherapist or psychiatrist, or supervised by a person with such a competence. In some cases, you may need to modify the content to fit different cultures in different language regions.
