What are the tricyclic antidepressants? How do they work?

What are the tricyclic antidepressants? How do they work?

Answer:

These medications balance certain brain chemicals (neurotransmitters) that cause depression when out of balance. When these brain chemicals are in proper balance, the symptoms of depression may be relieved. They relieve depression in around 60% of people with depression.
