Do you meet the HON criteria?

According to the HON (HON) a medical webpage should meet the following standards:

Authority

Any medical or health advice provided and hosted on the site will only be give by medically trained and qualified professionals.

Our texts are written by skilled medical and psychological psychotherapists. We provide an additional internal peer review by an other medical experts and try to provide additional peer reviewing to achieve quality control.

Complementarity

The information provided on the site is designed to support, not replace, the relationsship that exists between a patient / site visitor and his/ her existing physician.

The idea of web4health.info is to provide an additional source of information and to motivate people with psychological problems to seek professional help. Our information is not intended to replace professional physician and psychological advice. The Ask-the-Expert service is not intended to offer a diagnosis or concrete therapy advice.

Confidentiality

Confidentiality of data relating to individual patients and visitors to a medical/health Web site, including their identity, is respected by this Web site. The Web site owners undertake to honour or exceed the legal requirements of medical/health information privacy that apply in the country and state where the Web site and mirror sites are located

We try to provide as much confidentiality as possible to our users. We respect the privacy of our clients and offer anonymous contribution to all services. For registered users we will protect the private data.

Justifiability

Any claims relating to the benefits/performance of a specific treatment, commercial product or service will be supported by appropriate, balanced evidence in the manner outlined above

We do not want to promote one individual method of therapy or medication. We offer unbiased information and are not influenced in any way by commercial companies or intertests.

Transparency of authorship
