Hi,
Four years ago my best guy friend asked me out and we started a relationship that everyone adored. However, 6 months prior to our proposed wedding, he first wanted to postpone the date and I fought with him since he couldn't give me a good excuse. He then broke off the relationship. I was devastated. Five days after the break up, he called me and sincerely ask me to be friends. He said I was his best friend and the sex was great, but he has no more romantic feelings for me. He said he would be really sad if I stop talking to him. I said, "okay, we'll be friends then". Ever since, he called me every 2 or 3 days. Always ask me if I met new guys and encourages me to "look around" for good man. I finally had enough and asked him if he's trying to marry me off. He said "no". What does he want from me? He acts like nothing has ever happened between us. I know he's not in a new relationship. I don't understand his action. Please help.

He wants to have you as a friend, but not as a wife or a lover. You can accept it or leave him.

This article about men who won't commit themselves may or may not be applicable to his behaviour.
