A few years ago my wife gained some weight. She has now lost over 45 lbs, and weighs roughly around 110. She is 5'1. However recently I have been watching her and she seems obssessed with her weight. She keeps saying "just ten more pounds and I'll be happy". She has been saying that since 130 lbs. I have seen her weigh up to five times a day, and there are days were she won't eat. She won't look at herself in the mirror because she says she's too fat. She doesn't like her body or herself for that matter. She seems to stay cold, and tends to push her food around on her plate, if she eats with me at all. I have to stop her from looking at labels on food, or concentrating on fat or calories. I know she doesn't enjoy food at all, and now tends to stay away from it. One day, I took the batteries out of the scale and hid it, and she went into a fit. Is this the start of a problem? Also recently...she has had trouble with kidney stones and dehydration. I hate to go behind her back, but I am now concerned. Please help me. Thank you.
John

I understand that you are concerned. Your wife already has an eating disorder. Her wish to lose ten more pounds will make it even worse.

Web4Health.info has written a lot about eating disorders. Read what we have written first and write again if you have more questions.
