Hi,
I am a pretty standard 23 year old girl working 9-5. I suffer from anxiety attacks where my hands go clammy, my heart rate rises dramatically and I am left feeling nautous and breathless. I am a healthy weight, don't consume drugs and have only the occasional binge drink. Caffeine seems to intensify the situation and was wondering how you suggest I cope with this????? Is this abnormal? It comes out of nowhere and is getting in the way of usual functioning life.
It sounds like you have anxiety. Find a ladies room or some other room where you can be alone when you at work. When you are at home lie on the bed. Give your anxiety time to run its course. Let your feelings surface and face your innermost, difficult feelings. This will usually feel unpleasant but it is not dangerous. After a while, the feelings will subside and you will in the best case, have an idea of what you need to do in your life to make it better.
