Question:

What is psychotherapy?

Answer:

Psychotherapy is a verbal therapeutic treatment, based on the conversation and the relationship between the therapist (physician or psychologist) and the patient. Through psychotherapy, the patient tries to confront their own problems, and to identify them more precisely, to adapt to the particular challenges or problems in life, to be free of unpleasant psychological symptoms, or to improve their coping skills and contribute to a better social and private life. This should enable the patient to lead as a happy a life as possible.
