Abstract:

Anxiety disorders are classified as phobic disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders, and stress disorders.

Question:

What are anxiety disorders? What types of anxiety disorders exist?

Answer:

Anxiety disorders are a category of neurotic disorders with anxiety as a prominent or the prominent symptom. They are quite common (in a recent British survey 16% of the population suffer from some kind of pathological anxiety). According to the ICD-10 (international classification of diseases - 10th edition) anxiety disorders are classified as follows:
