adhd children in ordinary class?

My son goes to a lrge 6-year old group with 75 % boys. In that group, there is a boy with ADHD, who mostly causes chaos in class every minute. Other boys catch on this behaviour. As a result of this, many students have switched to a different school.

Is it common that ADHD children go to an ordinary class. Th ADHD boy also does not seem to get medicine for this problems. Is he too young for medicines?
