Re: Relatives

My Aunt and Uncle recently sent my husband a Christmas card they addressed the card to our 2 year old son and included a check for 50 dollars made out to his name. We had an argument with them about a year and a half ago after visiting them we were ready to leave their home and my husband and I and our son went into the car and on the pavement saw 10 dollars when my husband picked it up I had asked them if that was their money thinking perhaps it had fallen out of their pockets. They said no and we told them goodnight and drove home. A few days later my Aunt called me and she said we have no manners, how can we think that they dropped their money do we think they are stupid and she also thinks my husband and I purposely schemed that scene. From then on she hasnt spoken to us and they have been very cold. Now she sends us this Christmas card and I do not know how to respond to it. Please help.

Send them a nice Christmas card and thank them for the gift for your son. When other people are stupid or childish, you can act in a grown up way.
