I have been having symptoms of panic attacks. My question is: Is it common for these attacks to be ongoing? I have suffered with them for 1 week now. Its worse at night, sometimes the attack feels like it comes in waves, and have lasted up to 6 hours at a time.

Read about self-treatment of anxiety.

Try psychotherapy and if that does not work see a psychiatrist.

Read about psychotherapy.
