question
Is there any connection between the use of contact lenses and panic attacks, a possible chemical reaction to contacts that might bring on a panic attack?

Usually not, but there are always exceptions. But I rather believe in a psychological than a chemical explanation. Common causes of anxiety are suppressed feelings.
