Husband will not diet healthily

i have been with my husband for four years and in those four years i have given up smoking and alcohol as well as my home to be with him!...we now have a daughter of three and a daughter of 7months,the problem i have is my partners weight he is driving me back to alcohol which i dont want to end up dependent on again/aswell as smoking...he reackens because he is 23stone and 34years of age he hasnt got a problem with his weight anymore...i feel very upset over his attitude over the matter as we have two little girls togeter when i tell him my feelings he gets angry and eats more he said he has tried diet food but he cant seem to stick to it...im wooried as his mum died from weight related problems and his dad has had heart attacks aswell as bloodpressure problems and a hip opperation as well as serious spinal problems...you would think all of this would matter to him as we have two beautiful little girls aswell as a marriage sometimes i feel food seems to be all he cares about?...can you please give me some advice on how i can change the way he is for everyones sake or is it far too late now???
