Effexor does not work against my depression

Hi. I was diagnost as sufering from depression. we first try effexor xr , it was miracle, but after 1 yearstopped working. Tried prozak which I stoped after a week(diarea tremor headaches)
Then we try Zoloft(The worst.)
Now I am again on effexor xr I feel a bit better, but I sufer from insomni, and my spirit is low.
I forgat to tell you I am for 30 years on T4 and I have under control high blood pressure. If Effexor xr doesnt work again what can I do.....Thank you

It is not uncommon that patients switch from one anti-depressive drug to another but does not find anything which helps.

Are these medicines prescribed by a general practioner or by a psychiatrist? If by a general practitioner, you should be examined by a psychiatrist.

If medicines do not help, there are other methods which may be necessary, either in addition to, or instead of, the medicines. Psychotherapy is the first choice, ECT is another choice.
