i am 32 years old and over the last 12 years when i have been laughing alot i suddenly start crying really sobbing my heart out and it doesnt seem to matter who is around i cant control it but have noticed that i am trying not to laugh to much in company and that it has become a problem as i dont need to be laughing hard for it to switch too what feels like total dispair i dont feel depressed or full of dispair just tense i dont like feeling not in control and it is disturbing to me and worse for on lookers

It is hard to change as it is an automatic reaction. Would sun glasses be of any help? Nobody would then see that you are crying.

There are medicines which can suppress emotional reactions, but the drawbacks of such medicines may be stronger than the advantages. Ask a psychiatrist.
