Why women have affairs with married men

I have read lots of questions and answers in this website about women who have affairs with married men, i liked your replies on those topics and that encouraged me to go for some questions:
(1) WHY do women get attracted to married men? is it pyschological?
In my culture, divorce is something that totally ruins a girl's reputation, ignorance is widespread and there is alot of discrimination against women.
A large segment of my socisty views women as property.
having said that, there is a case of a married man who says he RESPECTS his wife, but he does not LOVE her,so he proposed to the woman he LOVES ( my freind that is, who senses that sex is behind the failure of his relationship, she is not sure) he says he can't divorce his wife ..he has 2 kids, one of them is a teenager, and the other is in preschool)i feel that he is using her, but at the same time i think that if he divorced his wife it will be like throwing her to the societal critisizm and insults ( it is a isgusting society by the way)(2) what would a man with HONEST intentions and HONEST LOVE in his shoes do?

This is a cultural issue. In France he would stay married and have a mistress and in Sweden his wife would divorce him, if she found out. Talk to a wise person in your own country and ask for advise.

The most attractive men are already married. Women, who have affairs with married men, usually get disappointed in the end. He will often not get a divorce, and may abandon the extra-marital partner instead.
