my boyfriend just broke up with me and he just said he needed time to sort out his life. I have refused to see him but he keeps calling and sending me mail saying that he wanted just to talk. Each time I tell him that I will not be talking to him again he pleads me not to do that to him.

I think it is a good idea to talk to each other and say goodbye in a decent way, when you break up. But the choice is yours.
