not wanting children

Dear Sir,


I have this problem and it deals with my decision to have children or not. I am now 32 and my friends and several people I know have children. Being that I am a hairdresser I'm always have clients that talk about there children,when they ask me I say no I have a step son. I can't help but feel selfish and can't relate to them. Its like so many people want children and I'm scared to have kids. I guess my life is pretty full and I know with children I would really be stressed. We have a boat and cars and a dog and fish. We always have fun on the weekends and can go when we want and I love that freedom. But I know when I get older I might regret that I din't have kids. We have one set of friends that chose not to have kids because like us they want to have fun and enjoy there lives. But its just that feeling of guilt I get when I'm around my parents because they are getting older and I know they want grand kids and being around my clientle at work they almost act suprised when I told them I don't know if I want kids,I just don"t understand why I don't have that buirning desire that everyone else has for haveing children. I hope you can help me, thank you for your time p.s is there alot of people who feel the way I do? I do get kind of sad inside about what to do. thanks again

There are many people who do not want children. You have the right to do whatever you want. It is not good for neither you nor your children to have them, if you do not really want them.
