I would think this would fall under anexiety but he doesn't have panic attacks but tries to avoid metting people even if he really wants to. He says he doesn't feel truley happy but is not sad ethier. I want to get him help he's had these problems all his life his parents down played them telling him, not to talk about it but it is effecting him finding a job out here hes just to nervous, doesn't know what to say and it difficult when it comes to affection he'll kiss me for a minute and be board. i love him very much and want to help him through this. i know you cant diagnose but can you point me in the right direction to know what kind of disorder we are dealing with. Can you recommend any natural trealments or do you sugesst we find a doctor. He is very scared of taking drugs when he was a teenager he used drugs to cover up whatever this is. thank you for any help you can provide. laura

Your friend needs diagnosis first. Some of the symptoms might be related to ADHD but there are a lot of other possible syndromes related to the description. It is not possible to make an online diagnosis. Without diagnosis it is impossible to make any suggestions. So he should try to see a doctor if he can afford to pay for it. Otherwise he should try to get some kind of social support in his town to make an appointment.
