Getting wet is not the same thing as an orgasm. The orgasm feeling for a woman is more similar to when a male gets an orgasm, but it is, for females, often extended over a longer period of time than for a male.
This means that if a woman's orgasm starts before penetration, a feeling of wellbeing can continue also during the intercourse. Also this is different from males, who usually cannot continue intercourse after orgasm. This is a reason why it is recommended that the female gets her orgasm before the male.
