why is this illness not taken seriously in the uk??
every day i battle with myself,wanting to kill myself,my family and friends never know if im going to be here anymore. i am sick if saying sorry,for being down or hyper. i desperatly need help but the doctors dont seem to know what to do. i am on setreline and have had prozac anti pshycotics,beta blockers and st johns wart.how can i get the help i need?? very best regards. vanya

There are effective medicines for bipolar disorder. You need to cooperate with a skilled psychiatrist. Get a second opinion, if the first doctor does not understand you and cannot help you.
