question
I have been treated for severe depresson for 29 years. I wonder if I might have hypomania because when hospitalized once I thought I could find a cure for a certain disease if I worked with researchers. This thought was absolutely wrong but I believed it. One other time I thought God was telling me which way to drive when I was driving my car. I was having a complete nervous breakdown at that time the doctors told me. I take wellbutrin XL and effexor SR (300 mg of each daily) Any thoughts and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

You are probably right. When you are suffering from a hypomanic or manic episode, you have an increased feeling of self-esteem and an unrealistic or psychotic outlook.
