I,ve been on a lot of medication for depression & anxiety since 1993 and I,ve found that taking a SSRI with ativan helped me out but took me off the ativan because I,am a alcoholic I drink to fill the void and lonelyness in my life. When I take my medication I rearely drink on my meds and I feel that iam just being labeled as a dry drunk. I go to aa meetings and keep myself busy and feel i,am only acepted with other alcoholics
You should continue with your medication, but stop drinking and try to find new interests. Do not meet people who drink, since they are dangerous for you. Continue going to the AA meetings. You will be able to find friends among sober AA members.
