Hi
It sounds like you have come to the point where you really want to stop hurting your body. That's great news. You might have been using physical self harm as a way of trying to rid yourself of painful emotional feelings. Trouble is, even though it can give some emotional relief in that moment, the bad feelings come back. And added to them are the bad feelings that go with your injury. I know I'm not telling you anything you don't know.
You really need to move the stuck feelings and the memories that and thoughts that create them. It is possible to shift this stuff and stop your habit of self harm. There are many new techniques that can efficiently treat the stuck pain and trauma that leads to self harm. Please please find yourself a good therapist. Your GP might be able to refer you to a free service, or you could try to find your own therapist or psychologist through the internet. There are also people, like me, that offer services online. Good luck with your search and your healing process.
