Suppression, depressed and frustrated

I recently got a divorce after 9 years of being manipulated by a control freak. I am having a hard time pulling myself out of deppression. I cant afford a psychologist.I lost my job while I was getting the divorce.
any suggestions?

Think of all the negative reasons you divorced him. and you've got the solution as well. Concentrate on finding yourself a job. the more time you spend thinking of your ex, the more depressed you can get. think of all the things you're good at, build up your confidence and go out there and live a life.

you are right, i am trying to do that but it doesn't lift me up overnight.I completed 2 semesters of college and am waiting for a pell grant to be approved to go for more. i want to be a kindrgarten teacher. i was a casino dealer but they are not hiring anyone now. Very hard to get a job with ample pay.
I am also a sculptist and sent my art to Bradford Exchange . i haven't heard from them yet.
i'm redecorating my home so it will erase the damage he and my stepson did. i think I've made some big strides but...it isn't all I need to lift me up.
Hmmm, i have faith in God and I know He is there for me. Still something is missing.
Guess i will just have to try harder?
