Is this stress?

I have been suffering with numbness of various levels in the left side of my face for 2 years. The numbness covers from my jaw to mid cheek. I have had an MRI, Lumbur Puncture and extraction of a wisdom tooth - ruling out diagnosis from GP, neurologist and dental practioner.

I am still no closer to finding out what is causing the numbness and of any possible treatment. It does not cause pain but discomfort and irritability. If I have a solid nights sleep it seems easier in the morning. However, sometimes it stops me sleeping.

I don't feel stressed but this is what my GP is putting it down to.

Please help.

You could always have a second opinion by another doctor. Or a psychiatrist, to find out whether your problems are stress-related.
