Common Health Informational Format

There are many different web sites providing health information to laymen. Some are specialized, to give detailed information about particular illnesses, other are general, but sometimes more shallow. Combining the information from many such sites into larger health information sites might provide better services to users. Also, different such services might reuse content developed by other services.

This document describes a draft for a standard format for exchange of such health informational pages between different services. The format is based on XML and XHTM and on the Dublin Core metadata initiative.
