HI-

I am a married woman in my mid-thirties. I consider myself to be happy, well adjusted and free of any kind of mental issues. I have a new friend that I have been spending a lot of time with lately, she is also a woman. I have a great time and relationship with her and feel like we are soul mates to some degree, we have a lot of peculiar things in common and similar tendencies. A few weeks ago my friend and I were watching a moving, sitting quite close on the couch and ended up kissing. Since then this happens pretty much every time we are together for varying lengths of time. I definitely don't feel attracted to her in a sexual way and I am still attracted to my husband, but I do enjoy kissing her. My friend feels the same way. My friend and I have discussed the kissing and came to the conclusion that maybe it is because we feel so close as friends that this is just a way for us to express that we care for each other. I was looking for a little insight as to why this physical contact might be occuring and if it is a problem.

Thanks for your help!

It is only a problem if your husband, you or your friend experience it as a problem.
