Abnormal weight gain?

i have put on 1 and a half stones in weight in 10 months ! i cannot understand why i have gained weight so fast . i went on a holiday 10 mths ago to bulgaria and i have gained the weight since that holiday. i do not eat excessively at all and my eating habits are no more than they have always been. so there has been no change in what i ate before the weight gain to what i eat now.i just feel as though i have been pumped up with a bike pump and its not stopping. my other symptons are having to urinate every 45 mins , that is about as long as i can go without goin to the toilet. i am up and down all night . i have suffered from ovarian cysts for over 16 yesr now and i ahve had a few surgiclly removed via abdominal incision. this has also cause serious adhesions in the past which have alsohad to be removed. i now only have one ovary after having one removed with a large cyst. do you think there is any medical reason i should gain this much weight so fast? i have had a thyroid test which came back normal but i am gaining weight by the week. i am 42 yrs old and now weigh 12 an half stone and i was only 11 stone last july. any ideas would be much appreciated.
