I have been getting these weird episodes of spasms. They run from my left big toe to my inner left thigh. It begins spontaiously and for no reason...I feel a "charlie horse" in the top of my foot where my shin meets my foot and also around the back of my heal and runs up my calf in the back/side (inner) and then into my inner thigh were my leg meets my groin. I am a female and I have not damaged or injured myself(ie: sprained, jammed, etc.) It paralizes me and I can walk or flex my foot leg or toes and can not put any weight or pressure against it and it hurts terrible (on a scale of 1-10 it is a strong 8-1/2 at times and brings water to my eyes. Please advise who i should see, My chiropractor is as dumbfounded as I am..He has wrapped my foot and told me to ice & elevate.
I do not think an x-ray will do any good. my muscle and vains on top of my foot get increasingly swollen Please advise ASAP. I am in so much pain but i don't want to waste my time in the emergency room. Thank you barb
