is there a sedative that could be used for a patient with schizophrenia during a bad hallucination or violent outburst that is compatible with 300 - 400mg of Quentiapine (seroquel) daily.

Most psychiatrists would recommend to try a benzodiazepine like lorazepam or to use a strong neuroleptic drug (haloperidol). But this situation usally requires inpatient therapy. Benzodiazpines have a risk of addiction (tolerance) and are no long term therapy.
