Smoking

Since the results of plastic surgery can be less good if you smoke, the surgeons often recommend patients not to smoke before an operation. It is certainly possible to test if you smoke or not, but they probably do not test it. To be dishonest to your doctor does not sound like a good strategy, since it is yourself which may be hurt. My recommendation is to tell the truth, even if it is not what the surgeon wants to hear.
