question
hi, I wrote to you before, but i guess there were lots of people with more serious issues, my freind is 24 yrs old, her dad exercises lots of authority on her and her brother, he does not let them socialie with ppl, or go out if he is not around them, which is really weird exspecially at this point of their lives, it is becomin unbearable, now he makes her feel like a burden in his life, he makes her feel that she is alot of wieght on his budget and tells her stuff like: when are u gona get married, so she goe to her room and cries, i mean for God's sake how is she gona meet any one if she is at the house all the time, even when i visit her, he will pop up freom time to time, he does not trust ppl as if. Please help my freind, she is my best friend, her feeling of worthless ness made her give her heart to someone who does not deserve her in a chat room who promised her many things now he runaway and turned out to be a complete jerk. my freind's mom passed away when they were kids. is that why he is so protective? what should we do?

If she lived in Sweden, where I live, she would leave home and find a work to support herself. Her father would not be able to stop her. But I do not know what he laws say in your country.

In some countries there are women's shelter organisations which help women to get free from opressing home situations.
