Last November I took a job thinking that this was really what I wanted to do - I am a General Manager of a Pizza Place, I have been in food most of my life. Unfortunately-now I am working myself to death, can't enjoy the days off cause my place is always calling me and the things they promised are not happening. Recently a acquaintence called me and offered me a job working less hours making more money, I would be his Office Manager. My only problem is that I am not really good at balancing my own check book and he is telling me that he will train me and that Quickbooks is not that hard - he said that he won't leave me alone until i feel really comfortable. My problem is that I am afraid of the unknown, but my current job is just sucking the life blood out of me and feel as though I can't make a clear decision. Any words of advice?????
Give the new job a chance. Ask your boss to check you, so that nothing dangerous will happen. You will learn something new that might be useful for your own economy. It is not possible to stay at a job where you will work yourself to death.
