My wife who is 77 years old has been unwell since April 2007 and has lost a lot of weight, but her doctor to start with just kept changing her medication. I am her husband and two months ago I went with her to see her doctor and since then the doctor has sent her for lots of tests such as chest X-rays, blood tests, ECG and an Endoscope on her stomach, we have even gone to the expence of going private to seeing a consultent Gastroenterologist and a Cardiologest Some tests have shown there have been some changes and she has been worried sick that she has got something nasty, but even though her doctor and the consultants have told her she hasn't got anything nasty she does not believe them.

While all of this has been going on I have noticed a lot of changes in my wifes behaviour in that she gets confused and her memory of recent activities is not very good, she gets confused with what day of the week it is and she has been a bit incontinenet and has had some accidents in the kitchen and left the tap running in the bathroom twice and flooded it and yet her long time memory is very good and when she watches TV on general knowledge she can answer the questions very quickley. Her doctor has said it could be Pseudo Demntia, is this a posibilty?
