Lorazepam is a medicine of type Benzodiasepine. Web4Health has many articles about this type of medicine.

Normal dosage of Lorazepam is 2-6 mg/day distributed over two or three times/day.

Lorazepam is not first-hand medicine for mood disorders. First-hand medicine for depressions are SSRI medicines. They do not have such a strong risk of dependency that Benzodiasepines.
