question
My 21 year old daughter is home from college for the summer. I notice when we have a conversation about anything and she decides she does not want to communicate with me any longer for whatever reason she will state "I don't want to talk about it." I do not know how to respond to her and feel that it is very inconsiderate for her to repeatedly use this phrase to end the conservation. Plus she know that it makes me upset. How should I respond to her when she uses the statement "I don't want to talk about it"

Respect her wish not to talk about certain issues.
