How can I handle sudden panic attacks or anxiety attacks? How can I learn to recognize suppressed feelings?
Answer:
Whenever we experience pain, we try to find out what caused it and see what a suitable approach to it might be. Anxiety is the soul's pain system that says there's something wrong in our life.
Do the following when you're having an anxiety attack: Lie on your bed and concentrate on how you feel and how your body feels. Try not to think. You will then feel a tremendous feeling of discomfort but remain lying down! Feel! Experience! Feel the worst things that you have ever felt! Stay with that discomfort until it gradually wears off. After this experience, you will get a greater sense of self-awareness, knowing what it was like and what you need to do about it.
If you suddenly do not feel anything, then your psychological defense has kicked in, and you will then need a talented psychotherapist to move forward.
