question
I find it quite difficult to tolerate sarcastic comments made by people that are intended to destroy the moral or self-esteem of seemingly normal and healthy people. Typically such comments arise out of some kind of jealous feelings towards the subject or low self-esteem and inferiority on the part of person who makes those comment. The sad part of it is, many of these people are stubbornly inconsiderate of what effect those comments can have on innocent people who do no understand the intentions behind them. I generally thrash these kind of people in public but then, it is not worth doing it every time you hear such ridiculous remarks about a person's character or dignity. So how to better deal with it?

Avoid sarcastic people, if possible, as they can be very harmful.

Read more about nasty people you cannot avoid.
