question
I am 49, divorced for over 15 years and she is 34 and divorced for 2 years. She wants to live together with no committment for marraige ever but would like ot live together as though we were. Originally I was totally against living together without some sort of maybe a 5 yr committment but after a lot of thinking (and praying) I feel it would be no problem to live together without a committment. We would live in her house and I would pay half while renting out my home. I feel she is afraid of marraige because of an abusive previous marraige and -like I - feel there is no reason for divorce except for adultery.
Orginally I also wanted children and she did not instead wanting to focus on her career. I feel at my age that is not a maojr issue since I have 4 grown kids and will have grandkids someday. I am more than willing to make this concessiin and have even offered to have a vasectomy so she can get off the pill.

Now she wants to break up saying she feels I would someday have regrets. I feel the only regeret I would have is if I lost her. I truly believe her reasoning and feel mher main concern is for me but I just don't feel she should make my decisions on what will make me happy. Please send some advice. I know these concessions are minor and we would be happy if we were together. THanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

She is saying that you would regret, but this may only be an excuse. It is really she who does not want to live together. You will have to accept this, if you cannot make her change her mind.
