I want to adopt a child but my husband does not want it

I am 48 years old and I feel adoption is a good idea for me but my husband is totally against it and all efforts to convince him has failed.I am unhappy and disappointed.What am I suppose to do?

I have, for many years, worked for the social services. I take care of a child every second week-end. Perhaps this is a compromise that would be acceptable for your husband and you. For the moment we have a 7 years old child who has been with ur since she was 2 years old. Those children has given a lot of happines to the whole family.
