Lately, I wake up during the night. I have a vivd, not necessarily bad dream, and wake up. Right after I wake up, my heart rate will increase to about 120. I rub the artery on one side of my neck and my heart rate goes back to normal. Sometimes, My heart rate will only increase for a minute or two. I am physically fit and have a resting HR of about 60.
This has been going on for about 10 tens. I had it for 4 days, it stopped for three, and back the last 2 days.
And yes, I have been under extreme stress lately.
Is there a drug to break the cycle??? Or, other suggestion(s) I have been doing some deep breathing.Thnaks
