Male babysitters

Do you encourage male teenagers and young adults to baby-sit. I understand that the majority of babysitters are female, but I believe a child can also benefit from a positive male role model that can guide them.

I wish I could say unequivocally yes. But after having had several patients telling me that they had been raped by male baby-sitters, I hesitate saying yes. But, of course, you can trust most men and children benefit from a positive male role model that can guide them.
