My daughter broke up with her boyfriend weeks ago and he is constantly calling, checking up on her with friends, showing up where she works. She wants to remain friends, but I fear he cannot accept that. She ignored numerous calls, but then began answering them cause she felt bad. She is a very sweet and too nice of a person. He scares me very much, because I really feel he is stalking her, and she doesn't see it like that. She told him, they're just friends and she wants to keep a friendship with him, but I am scared for her and she doesn't see my point. What can I do.
If your daughter is grown up, you can just tell her about your worries. Hopefully she knows how to handle her former boyfriend.
Depending on the laws in your country, she may be able to get a court order which prohibits him from persecuting her. But that, of course, requires that this is what she wants. She cannot do this if she wants to stay friends with him.
