Microscopy,
Section show ileal mucosa without villous atrophy. The lamina propria doesn't show significant numbers of inflammatory cells, no pathogens are identified. Lymphoid follicles with reactive germinal centers are present diagnosis of terminal illeum: without significant abnormality
Complains are of right iliac fosse pain, occasional hematochezia over past 3 months. There were no other constitutional complaints. Clinical examination was unremarkable. Symptoms seem to correlate with her menstrual cycles.
Colonoscopy till terminal ileum was without anomaly.bx of terminal ileum was also without anomaly. I have advised gynecological evaluation to exclude pathology. no significant gastrointestinal pathology is apparent at the moment, I would treat as for constipation colic. Has been issued lactulose.zelmac may be useful if constipation does not respond to lactulose.if symptoms perssits, CAT abdomen and pelvis is advised.
