it often happens that when something significant happens to me, that night i dream about it. but in this dream my eyes are open & i can see my surroundings. however there are people from that day in my room. i think it is real & try to keep my eyes open & end up sitting up. lately i have started to realise that it isn't real but the dreams keep coming.

what is this type of dream called? is it common?
