i was resently assaulted at a local pub and since the event i tend to have a hard time in social situations. if i try to go out (even with friends) i tend to get nervous and worry about what people are saying about me or thinking of me. i also seem to look over my shoulder worrying if an event like this is going to happen again. along with this, i have recently found a way to ease my anxiety but it seems a little strang. if i can find a word, any word, in the bar (like on a sign or fixture)what i do is count how many motions it would take to write that word. ex. RYAN... 3 for the R, 3 for the Y, 3 for the A, and 3 for the N. this form of relaxation has began to happen outside of bars and social scenes though, like during class and trying to talk to friends. if you could tell me if you think i may have social anxiety and what i can do i would appreciate it.
