I am 32 single male. I am suffering from depression. The reason being probably what i wanted in my life could not be achieved to the full extent. However being lonely in nature i get worried by petty things/problems that results in heart beating at faster rate than usual. I sleep properly and there are no signs of loss of sleep. BP is normal. I have also tried taking alprozam tablets on the advice of my father who is a dental surgeon but that does not solve my problem. The depression becomes intense during evenings when i am at home and is at its least during the day time. I have recently started a business of my own what I apprehend is that it may end in a loss inspite of the fact that there are no such symptoms and it is running quite well. Pls advice what to do.
Depressions can be cured with cognitive psychotherapy and SSRI-medicines and some other methods. Talk to a psychiatrist or an experienced medical doctor.
