I'm 27 and have CMT (charcot marie Tooth disease) I was doing well and not really noticing the affects of my disease till I got pregrant and gained 65 pounds. I have not be able to lose this weight as more cardio excersise cause me more harm then good and not able to reach a point where i'm losing weight. My doctor put me on meridia the weight lose drug, which is working slowly but better then nothing. The only problem is that it's causing me to have high blood pressure and with that I get the head aches, hard to concentrate, the sparkles in my eyes and the anxiousness and the drowsiness. I go in every 2 weeks to get my pressure taken or atleast I try. I do test it my self at the pharmacy also, but I keep thinking there machines are broken. A few days ago I was at 140 over 130 and my heart rate was 130 at rest. Whatever at rest I was stress out, kept thinking about traffic and picking my daughter up on time. Anyway it's jumps up and down but that was the highest it's been, I've seen it at 126 over 102 and a heart rate of 120 when i was grocery shopping. Anyways I guess what my question is, the first time i was on this a few years ago i was a pot smoker and didn't have this problem. I'm wondering if i started to smoke again a little here and there when i could would that lower my heart beat and lower my blood pressure? I know that pot isn't the best way but i'm curious if it would do the trick.
